
Chelsea Speer has been dancing for about 28 years. She has taught dance classes for 14 years, the last 10 being right here in the Flathead Valley. During that time, she taught classes in ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, contemporary and broadway to students age 3 to adult. Before that, Ms Chelsea taught classes in ballet, pointe, jazz and tap for 4 years in Arizona, where she is originally from.
Ms Chelsea was also privileged to teach for a program in Arizona for students with disabilities, where she used her unique abilities to help these students learn the joy of dance despite their difficulties. In addition to her teaching experience, she also danced for 4 years in a professional dance company called AZ Dance Group.
Chelsea originally began her dance training at the age of three. The style she trained in was the Royal Academy of Dancing. She was able to complete most of her ballet exams through the intermediate level with examiners from London, England. Chelsea grew up participating in various dance intensives all over the U.S. She attended a performing arts high school in Arizona where she studied a variety of dance forms. Chelsea went to college in Oregon and Arizona where she took dance classes and performed with a dance company. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and was a special education Preschool Teacher for 15 years.
In order to grow and continue in her love and passion for dance and children, Chelsea started Turning Pointe Dance in the fall of 2017. She desires to pass on her knowledge and love for dance to her students and instill in them the skills, fitness, and pure joy that dance has brought to her throughout all these years.

Sadie Anderson is a fifth generation Kalispell native who has been dancing since she was three years old. Sadie was a dedicated dance student who studied tap, jazz, tumbling, ballet, hip hop and lyrical. She competed in eighteen different dance competitions as a student! In Sadie’s group dances and duos, they won first overall more than once. One year they went to nationals in Las Vegas! She was also on the gymnastics team at Flathead Gymnastics.
Sadie started teaching dance seventeen years ago to students ages three to adult. She has taught tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling and strength and conditioning. At dance competitions, the pieces she has choreographed have won high point and overall awards numerous times.
Dance has always been a huge part of Sadie’s life. She’s excited to share that passion with students and their families. Sadie has worked at Turning Pointe Dance since 2023. Two of her own kids dance at the studio as well! Sadie is a wonderful asset to Turning Pointe Dance with her exemplary teaching and beautiful choreography. We are thrilled to have Sadie as a part of the Turning Pointe Dance studio family!

Shawn Lamoreaux is 31 years old and started dancing at the age of 3. He took dance classes at his mom’s studio (Dream Dancers) for 18 years and subsequently taught dance there for 10 years. Shawn specializes in Hip-Hop! He has performed at the Orange Bowl and at Competition since the age of 3 and has taken many dances to competition over the years. He has also taken private hip-hop choreographers to grow in the craft of hip-hop dancing.
Dancing isn’t a job to Shawn, it’s a lifelong commitment and joy of his. He loves teaching and helping kids grow confident in their abilities to move to the beat of music in a fun and exciting way. When he’s not teaching in the studio, Shawn is enjoying time with his amazing wife, Megan, and their 3 daughters Ava, Libby and Hadley, as well as their son Blake. He is excited to share his love for hip-hop with his students and help them find their own rhythm and style. He looks forward to teaching at Turning Pointe Dance!
