| Preschool Toddler Classes | Anything they can move and dance in. Most girls love to wear leotards and tights but this is not required. Please ask your child’s dance teacher what shoes they will wear for the spring performance since they are learning a couple styles of dance. It will either be pink ballet or tan jazz shoes. Your dancer can wear bare feet until you purchase shoes. I am super flexible and understanding with this age group meaning if they aren’t always in their correct attire it is totally ok! |

| Ballet | Any color leotard, pink or white tights, skirt (optional). Pink leather ballet shoes (any brand is fine). We prefer ballet shoes that don’t have drawstring ties at the top of them, just elastic. Boys – any color shirt and sweatpants. Black ballet shoes. |
| Jazz | Any color leotard, tan or black tights, shorts (optional). Tan leather jazz shoes. We prefer the pull on kind, not the tie kind. Boys – black jazz shoes. |
| Contemporary | Any color leotard, tan convertible tights, or tank top and legging. Toes showing contemporary sandal (see teacher for which ones to purchase) |
| Broadway Tap | Tank top, t-shirt, leggings. Clothes that you can dance in and the instructor can see your ankles/feet. NO jeans! Beginner (younger class): Black tap shoes (any style) no heels (necessary) Inter/Adv (older class): Black heeled tap shoes (2 inch heel). If you don’t have this style of shoe, wear what you have and talk to the instructor before you order. |
| Hip-Hop | Any colored tank top or t-shirt. Leggings or sweats (not too baggy). Clean pair of tennis shoes. The teacher will decide on the color of shoes they will need for the spring performance. |
| Tumbling/Dance | Any color and style dance or gymnastic leotard. Bare legs and feet are preferred. Shorts and leggings can be worn as long as feet are still visible. |
| Pre-Pointe | Same as ballet classes but see teacher for shoes and additional equipment needed. |
| Company | Tan Leotard. Company Jacket (see teacher) |
-For all classes we prefer hair up and out of their face so it is not a hindrance to dance moves. Limit the amount of jewelry they wear as well for the above reasons.
*Turning Pointe Dance Does not sell Dance Attire. But we do have a Dance Boutique from Spokane come to the studio once a year before dance begins (Sept 7th, 2023 5:30-7:30pm).

** We will include the correct color tights with your costume for spring Dance Performance.
*** If you have a pair of gently used dance shoes and you want to trade them in for another pair, you are welcome to do so (if we have your size on hand). Also, Ms. Chelsea would appreciate any donation of dance shoes 🙂
